Did you know that scientists already give their predictions about our expiration date? They also say that there will be a mass destruction again, similar to Dinosaurs. Are you willing to know what would happen to human in the future and what you can do now to prolong your life or you’re just going to sit on the couch doing less important things until the clock stops?

Time is a very important resource that we have right now. It cannot be bought nor sold, but we can use it freely to accomplish things and earn what we desire. However, as William Penn says, we use it in a wrong way or unwisely. What will you do now, now that you know our existence is in the verge of expiration? Will we let our future generations suffer grave consequences caused by our bad behaviors and actions on our behalf?
Based on the prediction from scientists, it is noted that human existence is slowly facing its extinction. They predicted that it is likely that we will extinct within 100 years. It sounds alarming, but most people will likely say that 100 years for them is enough to live their lives, especially the baby boomers and Gen X. In other words, most of us know that nowadays, there are only few among us around the world who can reach a life span of 90+ years: a result of health problems caused by the pollution, food that we eat, life style, etc. that have been influenced by technology-based civilization. However, what do you think will happen to us Gen Y and all future generations?
Now that we know we only have 100 years on Earth,
let’s see what challenges will we face (Gen Y’s and future generations) in these years!
Well, as for these generations, our way of living is mostly being influenced by advance technologies. These excellent man-made inventions are almost to die for, as they improve our economy, society and way of living. Almost all businesses are using technologies to provide goods and services that we need and desire. Without these technologies and new business Technics and tools, a company may not improve or compete with others. However, by depending on these things, we can’t avoid major consequences such as Global Warming, Environmental and Political risks, and Human destruction.

Global warming is a popular topic that needs attention from all of us. As a matter of fact, scientists and government are currently debating whether global warming is one of the major priorities that needs financial and political support. Well, scientists say that global warming is already upon us, so no need for preventive actions. What we need right now is corrective and drastic action. On the other hand, government denies the importance of this matter. In fact, “the subject of global warming is less politicized for America’s neighbors to the north, but their leadership seems not to have the least interest in doing anything about it. To the contrary, the Canadian government appears determined to exploit the Alberta tar sands to the fullest extent possible”(The Guardian), which means that politicians are aware of the global warming, but taking this into their account is less subject of their interest.
So, what is the reason of discussing this topic?
It is important to know about global warming, because it is a major reason why human existence is soon to cease. However, if we try to understand and analyze this phenomenon, we are able to deduct that human activities are the main contributors, thus we can conclude that in order to fix or lessen the impact of global warming, we need to focus on what we are doing. Although, “evidence supporting human-caused global warming is overwhelming“, the government still has the major responsibility in this matter, because the politicians have the power to change the system of the society and have a bigger influence to the citizens. Otherwise, we are unable to prolong our life span, if our leaders themselves don’t do something about this problem and continue to deny it.

SOCIAL DISORGANIZATION
In addition to those effects, future Generations will also face social disorganization which is “a disruption or breakdown of the structure of social relations and values resulting in the loss of social controls over individual and group behavior, the development of social isolation and conflict, and a sense of estrangement or alienation from the mainstream of one’s culture”(Dictionary.com). It is one of the major challenges that we will face, because if the impact of global warming increases and more powerful, we will then need to fight one another over territories, food and water supplies, energy sources, medicines,etc, in order to survive, thus results to war or mass destruction.
So, will you still sit down on the couch waiting for our extinction or do something, even simple thing to contribute in minimizing the effect of global warming?
